Solid Wall Insulation by Dyson Insulations
If you live in a home with solid walls or non-traditional construction (eg. concrete) you could be losing up to 45% of the heat from your home. You can insulate your walls with External Wall Insulation or Internal Wall Insulation.
This will make your home warmer and save money on your energy bills – up to £500 each year (average semi-detached house). Solid wall insulation will also help the environment, by reducing the carbon emissions in your home, typically up to 2.5 tonnes of CO2 per year (average semi-detached house).
How to identify whether you have a solid wall property:
Most properties built before 1930 and built of brick or stone are likely to be solid. If your home is Victorian, Georgian or Edwardian it is likely to be solid. You may also live in a ‘non-traditional’ property, such as a concrete or system built (pre-fabricated) house, this will also be treated as a ‘solid’ house.
How to decide which is most suitable – external or internal wall insulation:
See internal solid wall insulation and external solid wall insulation for more information. Our surveyor will assess your property and advise on the most suitable insulation.
